Atlanta Legal Aid Society seeks a Development Coordinator to work at its headquarters in downtown Atlanta. Our non-profit provides free legal assistance to low-income persons in a variety of civil legal matters.

Responsibilities: The Development Coordinator works closely with the Development Team to implement development and communications activities. The Development Coordinator has primary responsibility for fundraising event coordination, database management, newsletters, social media, and provides support in grant reporting.

Qualifications: An undergraduate degree and 1 years of experience in communications, marketing or nonprofit management; experience with data collection and review; and experience with website content development and management are required. Experience with creating social media content is highly valued. Candidates must possess excellent communication and listening skills; strong writing and editing skills; strong organizational skill and meticulous attention to detail; the ability to manage multiple projects; and a willingness to learn. The ability to work in a team and alone, adaptability, appreciation of diversity, and a demonstrated interest or experience in social justice issues are a must.

Terms: The salary is $39,500+ depending on experience. The program provides generous fringe benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off including parental leave; health, life, and long and short-term disability insurance; partial payment for dependent health insurance; a salary reduction option for a flexible spending account; educational loan reimbursement up to $600 per month (after a $65 deductible and set off of other loan reimbursement amounts); and a voluntary tax-sheltered annuity with 3% match.
