Development Coordinator

The Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. seeks a Development Coordinator to work in its headquarters in downtown Atlanta. Our non-profit provides free legal assistance to low-income persons in a variety of civil legal matters. The Development Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Annual Giving and Communications and in collaboration with other members of the Development and Communications team. The Development Coordinator has primary responsibility for database management; newsletter production and publication; designated fundraising events; and segments of grant management.

Qualifications:  Candidates must have an undergraduate degree and 1 year of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing; communication and listening skills and strong writing and editing skills; strong organizational skill and meticulous attention to detail; experience with website content development and management, data collection and review; and a willingness to learn and manage multiple projects. The ability to work in a team and alone, adaptability, appreciation of diversity and a demonstrated interest or experience in social justice issues are a must.  Experience with creating exciting social media content is a plus.

Terms: The salary is $39,500+ depending on experience. The program provides generous fringe benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off including parental leave; health, life, and long and short-term disability insurance; partial payment for dependent health insurance; a salary reduction option for a flexible spending account; educational loan reimbursement up to $600 per month (after a $65 deductible and set off of other loan reimbursement amounts); and a voluntary tax-sheltered annuity with 3% match.
