Information Technology Intern

Atlanta Legal Aid Society (“Legal Aid”) seeks an Information Technology Intern to work at its headquarters in
downtown Atlanta. Legal Aid provides free legal assistance to low-income persons in a variety of civil legal
matters. This internship offers the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the information technology
operations of a medium size nonprofit law firm of about 165 employees, hands-on experience in installing,
maintaining, repairing and upgrading information technology systems and equipment, and interaction with staff.
Responsibilities: The Information Technology Intern works closely with the Information Technology Manager
to provide technical support to staff for internet, network, hardware, software, computer, printer, and telephone
issues. The Intern will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading computers, printers
and telephones, and troubleshooting internet, network, computer, printer and telephone issues. Travel is
required to other Legal Aid offices within the metro Atlanta area.

Qualifications:  Candidates must have education and training in Information Technology including Windows,
Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, networks, hardware components, operating systems, and application
software. Candidates must be able to research, understand and apply technical resources; have strong analytical
and troubleshooting skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills,
the ability to work well in a team environment and independently; be dependable; and have an appreciation of
diversity.

Hourly Rate: This is a part-time (8 – 12 hours/week) contract position that pays $18.00+ per hour depending
on experience. The position is expected to continue for 4 months. The weekly hours and duration of the position
may increase. Travel is reimbursed at $.40 per mile. The position offers no benefits.
