Atlanta Legal Aid Society provides free civil legal help to individuals who cannot afford a private attorney.
To qualify for our services, you must meet certain low-income guidelines. Eligibility exceptions may apply to seniors and certain other qualified applicants. We primarily serve the five county metro Atlanta area – Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett. Some limited services are available statewide and are noted below where applicable. If you want to see a lawyer in person, please go to the office located in the county where you reside. Our offices are open 9:00 AM -12 noon and 1:00- 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday except for the holidays noted below. Availability of walk-in appointments may be limited depending upon individual office resources.
